Whether you’re designing your first print or fine-tuning advanced settings, our community can help you get from concept to creation.

Electronics

From blinking LEDs to fully functional robots, this is where sparks of inspiration become real circuits. The Electronics area is stocked with soldering stations, oscilloscopes, components, and members who love helping you debug your next great idea.

Laser Cutting

Fast, precise, and endlessly satisfying — the laser cutter can bring your designs to life in wood, acrylic, leather, and more. Engrave your artwork, build intricate models, or fabricate custom parts in minutes. Once you start laser cutting, you’ll wonder how you ever made things without it.

Metal Shop

Cut it, weld it, grind it, shape it — our Metal Shop is built for makers who like to work with a little heat and noise. From sculpture to small-scale fabrication, you’ll find the tools and mentors you need to make sparks fly (safely, of course).

Pottery

Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing. The Pottery area is perfect for beginners and experienced ceramicists alike, with hand-building tools, a 7-cuft kiln, and a community ready to help you get messy and create your next masterpiece.

Textiles

Stitch, weave, embroider, and create with fabric and thread. Whether you’re making clothing, quilts, costumes, or soft sculptures, the Textiles area has the machines, materials, and fellow makers to help your ideas take shape.

Which Craft?

The pun is intentional — and so is the fun. This area is for all the creative misfits who don’t fit neatly into a single category: screen printing, leatherworking, embroidery machine, stained glass, plastic welding, polymer clay, and whatever else you dream up. If it’s crafty, it’s welcome here.

Woodshop + Layup area

From rough prototypes to fine furniture, the Woodshop is the heart of hands-on making at Kwartzlab. With saws, sanders, planers, and a full suite of tools, it’s a space where you can shape your ideas into something solid, sawdust and all.

The Layup area is where projects get their final polish — literally. It’s a dust-free zone for gluing, painting, staining, and finishing your creations once the cutting and sanding are done. Whether you’re sealing a tabletop, painting a sculpture, or assembling the final pieces, this is the calm, clean space to make it shine. Members can also leave projects here for up to a week while finishes cure, so everything has time to set just right.

Bike Repair station

Fix it, build it, or upgrade it — our Bike area is all about two-wheeled freedom. Whether you’re tuning your commuter or restoring a vintage ride, you’ll find the tools (and fellow bike nerds) to help keep you rolling.

Blacksmithing

Where fire meets metal and tradition meets modern creativity. Our small forge area lets members explore the ancient art of blacksmithing, from simple hooks to custom blades. It’s hot, it’s loud, and it’s awesome.

CNC Router

For precision projects too big for the laser but too detailed for the saw, the CNC Router has your back. Perfect for furniture, signs, and intricate patterns — bring your digital designs and carve them into reality.

Private studio space

Want a space to call your own? Kwartzlab offers private studios for members who need a permanent creative home. Our full-sized, half-sized, or studio-module (a shared space divided into 6 equal zones) are perfect for artists, small businesses, or serial tinkerers.

Member Storage

Keep your projects and materials safe between sessions. Member storage means you can leave your work-in-progress behind and pick up right where you left off next time.

Kitchen

Fuel your creativity with a cold drink (from our drink fridge), or a late-night snack. Our communal kitchen is the social heart of the lab — because sometimes the best ideas happen with a pickle (IYKYK).
