Imaging the solar system from your backyard!
Darryl Archer, a local astronomer, will be at Kwartzlab on Tuesday open night, Feb. 9th, giving a presentation about imaging the solar system from your backyard! The presentation covers his original backyard observatory design, telescopes, photography, imaging software, satellite tracking and many of his great photographs. He's a well known astronomer who has published in Skynews and a number of astronomy text books such as 'The astronomers backyard guide' and the latest versions of 'Nightwatch' and 'The Universe'. He often consults for The Record and has appeared on CKCO news. His photographs are some of the best I've ever seen. His breathtaking images range from planets, stars, and moons to man made satellites and the international space station. He is also into electronics, microcontrollers, robotics and has worked for an aerospace company.

Bring your friends for a special TON!
