Games Day: Game with us Saturday January 30th 2010 at Kwartzlab 283 Duke St W Kitchener ON. Members can game all day. The public can join in the fun from 7pm to 10pm.

Game types include: Board games, Cards, Dice, Computer, Consoles, Hand Held and Arcade. Risk, Contra (NES), Metal Warriors (SNES), Street Fighter II Turbo (SNES), Golden Eye (N64), Smash Bros. (N64), Guitar Hero I & II (PS2), Puzzle Pirates (MMO Puzzler).

Special Focus: It is encouraged to bring in unusual games or games that have been invented by the player. If anyone has a gaming project and would like to have it tested at the lab, bring it with you. Announce your game in advance and it will be added to the Special Focus list. Here is some of what will be there: Coleco pong system, Comodor 64, Nintendo Virtual Boy.

Specialty Gaming: A LAN is being organized for the event. Details to be posted to the Wintereenmas wiki page under the heading LAN. A NintendoDS and NintendoDSi WiFi session is being organized for the event. Details to be posted to the Wintereenmas wiki page under the heading Nintendo WiFi. Arcade machines are being restored. Details to be posted to the Wintereenmas wiki page under the heading Arcade.

Arcade: One classic arcade machine has been restored to its former functioning glory. A racing simulator with steering wheel and pedal. Another machine is still being restored in the hopes of being completed in time for the Wintereenmas event. A third won't be completed in time.

LAN: There are LAN and console multiplayer still being suggested and tested at this time. Since it is now so close to the event it is recommended that those interested in doing either show up and sign up sheets for what we will have prepared will be available on site on a first come first serve basis. Bring what you think you'll need. Being over prepared will be better than finding a component is not available.

Nintendo WiFi: Here is a list of games guaranteed to be present during the Wintereenmas event that are NintendoDS and NintendoDSi Wifi enabled: "Contact", "The World Ends With You", "The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass", "Pokemon: Diamond", "Lock's Quest", "Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin", "Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime", "Tetris DS", "Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi: The Genie and the Amp", "Final Fantasy III", "Final Fantasy IV", "Rune Factory". Don't forget to bring your own cartridges to increase the gaming options.

Projector: Way ahead of schedule, the lab now has a projector enabled and ready for the event. Bigger than television, watch as gaming takes up a whole wall. Sign up sheets will be at the lab for a turn on the big screen.

Snacks: Candy: Gummi frogs, gummi octopi, gummi peaches, candy building blocks, chocolate loonies, chocolate toonies, chocolate covered cranberries, Reeses Pieces, candy confetti, cinnamon hearts. Concession: Monster energy drinks, NOS energy drinks, Arizona teas, Coca-cola, Dasani, Fruitopia and other beverages available for purchase. We'll also have Mountain Dew! Other food: Doritos

Crowns: A batch of Wintereenmas crowns has been dropped off at the lab. I hope to make some more. If you'd like to make your own[1] is the front and [2] is the spacer if you need more head room. Wearing a crown is not required for gaming, it just makes your game completely awesome.
