		<description><![CDATA[Hey Darin, thanks very much! I&#039;m just using the standard 18-55 kit lens that came with my D40. I don&#039;t think I&#039;d know what to do with anything more powerful than that!

For the flame pics, the under-exposed shots both have a 1/30 second shutter, f/3.8, and ISO around 700. The nicer two have 1/8 second shutter f/3.8, and ISO around 1000. Actually, all the EXIF info is still attached to the pics, and you can check it out on Flickr by clicking on the pictures.

The reason the outdoor shots are so much sharper is because I was able to set myself up better outside than inside (I didn&#039;t bring a tripod that night). You can see that some of the pictures from upstairs or around the laser are much more blurry, despite the faster shutter speeds. I&#039;ll have to show you my technique for holding still some time.]]></description>
