		<description><![CDATA[Thanks Karl. I had the same power problem. I tried to bypass the power jack and connected a jack to the battery terminals. That worked for a while and then died again. I found that Q1 and Q18 were burned out so I replaced with the equiv NTE 185 and 184 and changed the zenor too. Works beauty again.

I just got a second-hand one and it&#039;s acting weird: it sometimes turns on and sometimes not and only stays on for about 9 seconds, at which point the screen flickers and goes off and no sound is emitted. 

I believe that if I fix that power issue, I could reprogram it.

What should I do? I can try to fix it myself with help.]]></description>
