Vegas Makery
By DW
Playing a little blog catch-up here. My whirlwind October included a fun trip to Vegas with friends. It turns out that, in addition to debauchery, Vegas is a maker’s wonderland if you look beneath the magic veneer.
This LED-matrix-beyond-imagination forms a roof about 300m long over a pedestrian walk that is old Fremont Street. I couldn’t help thinking about the bandwidth required to do full-motion video on this ceiling while Cassidy was cleaning up at blackjack.
These suspended parasols float up and down over a restaurant at the Wynn.
The mosaic floors in the Wynn lobby really blew my hair back. Delicious.
This was part of a cool storefront in Ceasar’s (I think).
There are lots of other pictures, but I’m pretty sure I took a blood oath on a roof vowing not to share those…
Go to Vegas. At least once.
