The Infrastructure Angel Strikes Again!

This is Ed, the Infrastructure Angel… (read on)

After I wished for a fridge and trolley cart last week and received both (through Ed), I really wanted to get some big fans for the windows so we could move some air into the space. Ed showed up with 4 of those tonight, plus some taller floor standing fans and I think he has a few other desktop fans stuffed in his car. He also snagged us several more chairs and a really killer chrome cart (this thing is beautiful). I believe he’s going back for some nice steel shelving that we can use to replace our functional, but aesthetically deficient shelves in the lounge. He’s also snagging some small whiteboards and a bunch more pegboard. I’m completely blown away. Thank you so much, Ed.

This is Ben, the Treasurer & Transportation Angel. In addition to working triple-time on the space, he makes it possible for Ed to get a lot of this big stuff over to kwartzlab with his magic truck. Nobody argues with me when I call Ben The Hardest Working Kwartzlabber. You rock, Ben. Thanks a lot.

The rest of us mortals did some ultra-fine drywall mudding (go Gus GO) and exterior window work (me). Cedric and Steph’s extension ladder was perfect for the job tonight. I just extended it to reach just above the top of the window, leaned ‘er up and then climbed up 2 stories to clean and caulk the windows. It felt really really high and I had to not think about getting to the end of my life in a big hurry out there in the moat. I finished the exterior of Window #1. Ran out of daylight and courage (in that order).

Rob Magon (#31) came by with Ben tonight. Welcome Rob!

Mr. Andrew Mackie stopped by and joined in the transportation of furniture with Ed. Thanks Andrew!

James came by on his I’m-in-training-for-Vegas run tonight and we chatted about the security/access system. An early happy 27th birthday to Mr. Bastow who was born on the 31st of the month.

I think it’s my turn to buy beer for the fridge now.
