fire dancing & board meeting… not in that order

This was quite a sight on my dark bike ride home from kwartzlab tonight. I’ll bet these dancers want to join our hacker space. Click thru for deets…

This is the Waterloo Busker Festival 2009 and the dancers are Flame Oz. Great show.

Equally exciting as fire dancing is hanging out with these smart makers here, planning the on-going success of kwartzlab. Ed and Matt were in the other room working on shelves and sanding walls.

This is what internet access looks like in the space. Laptops bloomed! Steph and Cedric plumbed us for internet today. Muchas gracias!

I see some neat kwartzlabber has been busy disassembling the extra bench lights for their component parts that we’ll use to build all sorts of things. Very organized.

May there never be a reason to use this in the lab. But it was sure nice to get this from Navidis through Ed (and the transport volunteers).

And these killer shelves.

And these whiteboards. Ding ding!

And fans! Lots of fans!

But this cart is my favourite of all. Not sure why. Very useful and shiny.

And Andrew brought in some leftover hardwood flooring we can use to redo the window sills. Thank you, sir.
